We are recruiting for an experienced Lead Cloud Engineer or Architect to join a growing technology function undergoing a major Microsoft cloud transformation programme. This is a key role, responsible for shaping Azure and Microsoft 365 architecture, infrastructure strategy, and cloud leadership within a highly regulated environment.
The organisation is mid-way through its cloud journey, operating in a hybrid on-premise and Azure environment, with significant programmes focused on migrating infrastructure, estate, and data into Microsoft Azure while also modernising the Microsoft 365 estate, including adoption of Microsoft Copilot and broader digital workplace transformation.
We are looking for a strong Azure and Microsoft 365 infrastructure specialist with architecture and design capability, able to lead enterprise-scale cloud initiatives in both a strategic and hands-on capacity. Candidates who can clearly communicate the organisation’s technical vision across Azure and Microsoft 365, and engage effectively with both technical and business stakeholders, will stand out strongly in this process!
Experience Required:- Candidates must have previously led or played a key role in a full on-premise to Azure migration programme.
- Strong ability to articulate and communicate technical vision across Azure and Microsoft 365 landscapes.
- Experience managing hybrid environments spanning on-premise, Azure, and Microsoft 365.
- An understanding of Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected best practices.
- Experienced across Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 architecture and administration.
- Experienced in designing and implementing enterprise-scale Azure and M365 solutions.
- Good Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform).
- Good scripting experience using PowerShell or similar.
- Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-104, SC-300 or equivalent are highly desirable).
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption and enablement highly desirable.
If you’re an aspiring Cloud Architect or an established Cloud, Azure & M365 Engineer looking to apply yourself to Azure migration, M365 infrastructure, or Copilot adoption programmes, then this is the role for you.
