A fast-growing telco business is delivering a number of high-profile fibre and connectivity programmes and needs an experienced Business Analyst to help drive complex systems integration and transformation initiatives. You'll work across technical and business teams, shaping requirements, mapping processes, and ensuring seamless delivery across multiple platforms and stakeholders. This is a hands-on BA role for someone who understands fibre networks, connectivity services, and the challenges of integrating systems in complex technology environments.
Functional and business requirements have already been captured for the current programme — the immediate focus is now on defining the technical requirements, including Layer 2 network requirements and the service delivery change, working closely with the Telco Technical team.
What the role involves:
- Gathering, documenting and validating business and technical requirements across fibre and technology programmes
- Leading the definition of technical requirements, including Layer 2 network detail and VASS service delivery change, in close collaboration with the Telco Technical team
- Leading workshops with technical, operational and commercial stakeholders to define future-state processes
- Supporting end-to-end systems integration projects, ensuring data flows and dependencies are fully understood
- Producing process maps, gap analyses, user stories and functional specifications
- Working closely with delivery, architecture and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Managing stakeholder expectations and acting as the bridge between technical and non-technical teams
- Supporting testing, UAT activities and successful business adoption of new solutions
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within fibre, telecoms, connectivity or broader technology environments
- Strong background delivering systems integration and transformation projects
- Experience mapping complex business processes and translating requirements into actionable deliverables, including translating business requirements into detailed technical requirements
- Working knowledge of Layer 2 network concepts and VASS (Value Added Service Solutions) service delivery is highly desirable
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organisation, including technical teams such as Telco Technical
- Knowledge of network infrastructure, fibre provisioning, OSS/BSS platforms or related telecoms systems is highly desirable
- Experience working within Agile and Waterfall delivery environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering practical outcomes
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
