Job Title: M&A & IT Project Manager (Outside IR35 – Contract)
Location: London Hybrid

Duration: 3-6 Months
Overview:
We are looking for an experienced M&A & IT Project Manager to lead both the M&A transaction lifecycle and the associated IT workstreams. This role will bridge corporate development and technology functions, ensuring that infrastructure, systems, and data integration are successfully aligned to business objectives. You'll play a key role in managing due diligence, Day 1 readiness, and post-merger IT integration within a fast-paced and complex environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end M&A project management, with a specific focus on IT-related deliverables and interdependencies
- Develop and manage integrated project plans covering both corporate and IT workstreams (e.g., infrastructure, applications, data migration, security)
- Coordinate due diligence across IT systems and digital capabilities, identifying risks, dependencies, and opportunities
- Act as the central point of coordination between Corporate Development, IT, Finance, HR, Legal, and third-party advisors
- Ensure Day 1 and post-deal integration plans are fully scoped, documented, and executed on time
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings, maintain RAID logs, and report regularly to the programme board
- Manage external vendors and internal IT teams involved in transition and integration work
- Track progress against critical milestones, escalating risks and resolving blockers promptly
Experience & Skills Required:
- Strong track record delivering M&A projects, with clear experience in leading IT integration, carve-out, or separation activities
- Broad understanding of IT domains (infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, data, cloud, ERP) within M&A contexts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including with C-level and technical teams
- Proven ability to manage complex projects across business and technical areas in parallel
- Strong project governance, reporting, and risk management capabilities
- Familiarity with IT due diligence processes, transitional service agreements (TSAs), and Day 1/Day 100 planning
- Experience working in hybrid environments and with cross-functional teams
