We’re currently supporting a major public sector programme looking to engage an experienced QA Lead / Test Manager to support a critical delivery phase across a high-profile transformation project. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong coordination, stakeholder management, and end-to-end testing oversight across SIT, E2E, and UAT activities.
The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in fast-paced delivery environments, managing testing activities across multiple stakeholders, and ensuring successful execution during key delivery milestones.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and oversee SIT, E2E, and UAT testing activities
- Coordinate UAT execution and stakeholder engagement
- Manage defect triage and testing governance throughout delivery cycles
- Produce daily and weekly test progress reporting
- Drive test execution across complex enterprise environments
- Work closely with programme delivery, business stakeholders, and technical teams
- Ensure delivery risks, blockers, and dependencies are managed effectively
- Support release readiness and critical delivery phases
- Proven experience as a QA Lead, Test Lead, or Test Manager
- Strong public sector experience
- Experience delivering large-scale/high-profile programmes (£1m+ preferred)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience leading SIT, E2E, and UAT testing
- Comfortable managing fast-paced or high-pressure delivery environments
- Strong defect management and reporting experience
- Agile delivery experience
- Experience working on critical delivery or transformation programmes
- Exposure to enterprise-scale system integrations or migration projects
- Experience working across multiple suppliers or delivery partners
