We are supporting a major public-sector programme seeking an experienced QA Engineer and a Senior QA Engineer with strong non-functional testing experience to join a high-performing engineering team delivering complex digital transformation work. This role is focused on automation-first quality engineering within modern CI/CD environments, with a particular emphasis on performance, accessibility, and non-functional assurance across large-scale cloud-based platforms.
Key Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- Java
- Selenium
- Cucumber
- Strong experience in non-functional testing, including:
- Performance testing
- Accessibility testing
- Security testing
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks
- Experience working within Agile, BDD, and TDD environments
- Strong API and integration testing capability
- Comfortable working closely with developers within engineering-led teams
Nice to Have
- Experience with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or similar performance tools
- Experience with accessibility standards such as WCAG
- Cloud platform experience (AWS/Azure)
- BPSS Clearance
- Ability to attend site in Newcastle 2 days per week
- Public sector or government programme experience
