Areti Group has exclusively partnered with a rapidly growing startup who are seeking 8 Software Engineers to start ASAP. These roles are fully remote. This business has grown by 75% this year and is now looking for another 30 hires between now and February. My client is seeking highly skilled and motivated Software Engineers with expertise in ETL, AWS, and Python. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and creating ETL pipelines to support major customer initiatives at the early stages of projects. This individual will play a critical role in our data engineering team, contributing to the development and maintenance of robust and scalable data solutions.
Responsibilities
- ETL Pipeline Design and Implementation
- Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable ETL pipelines to support the extraction, transformation, and loading of data from diverse sources.
- Ensure the pipelines are optimized for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Utilize AWS services for data storage, processing, and analytics.
- Leverage AWS technologies such as S3, Glue, Redshift, and others to build and maintain data solutions.
- Implement best practices for security and compliance in an AWS environment.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Python programming for data processing and manipulation.
- Develop custom scripts and applications as needed to enhance ETL processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Provide technical expertise and support to major customers at the early stages of projects.
- Understand customer needs and tailor ETL solutions to meet specific project requirements.
- Document ETL processes, data models, and system architecture.
- Implement and adhere to best practices for code versioning, testing, and deployment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing ETL pipelines in a production environment.
- Strong proficiency in AWS services, with a focus on data-related services.
- Advanced skills in Python programming for data processing and automation.
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing.
- Previous experience supporting major customers at the early stages of projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and technologies.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Experience with data modeling and database design.
- AWS certification(s) related to data and analytics.
Candidates must hold a valid British passport and must have worked in the UK for the last 5 years.
