This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a strong focus on data architecture, application performance, and platform scalability.
You’ll lead a small senior engineering team, combining technical delivery with people leadership (around 75% technical / 25% line management).
Your focus will be on enabling the platform to scale intelligently — supporting reporting, APIs, AI/LLM usage, and real-time customer insight.
- Lead and support a newly forming team focused on data architecture and application optimisation.
- Influence architecture, design, and technology decisions across the platform.
- Remain technically hands-on, solving complex backend and data-driven problems.
Tech Stack
- Core technologies include: C# / .NET (Framework & .NET Core), Azure SQL Server.
- Bonus experience (nice to have): Data pipelines (Fabric or similar), Search technologies (Lucene, Elastic, NoSQL, MSSQL), MS SQL views and performance optimisation.
A strong backend engineer with deep .NET and Azure experience. An excellent communicator who helps align people and priorities.
