We're working with a leading digital consultancy to place a Product Manager (SFIA Level 4) on a high-impact UK government programme. This is an initial contract role starting ASAP with strong potential for extension.

The programme sits at the heart of a major government Health and Disability digital transformation — supporting a live cloud platform (AWS and Azure) that underpins services used by millions of citizens. The platform reduces the infrastructure burden on Health and Disability delivery teams, freeing them to focus on what matters most.

You'll own and develop multiple prioritised technology backlogs, shape product roadmaps, and work closely with multidisciplinary agile teams to drive progressive, value-led delivery through discovery, framing, and test-and-learn cycles.

What you'll be doing:

  • Owning and prioritising technical product backlogs based on user needs, value and effort
  • Creating and communicating product roadmaps to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Defining and refining product vision across a complex technical environment
  • Collaborating with engineering, data and delivery teams to drive outcomes
  • Managing stakeholder relationships across departmental and functional boundaries
  • Translating complex technical issues clearly for non-technical audiences
  • Working autonomously under the direction of a Lead Product Manager

What we're looking for:

  • Proven product management experience on technology or data products
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery methods and product mindset
  • Experience managing and prioritising technical backlogs in complex environments
  • Confident communicator — able to justify decisions to senior stakeholders
  • SFIA Level 4 Product Management
  • BPSS clearance or eligibility to obtain it

The details:

  • Hybrid — Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, London
  • Up to £400/day, inside IR35
  • BPSS clearance required
  • Start: ASAP
