The Account Director leads strategic, high-value relationships with major wholesale partners. Acting as the senior commercial contact, they own multi-million-pound accounts, engage at C-suite level, and drive long-term partnership growth. The role focuses on shaping commercial strategy, negotiating major contracts, and aligning client objectives with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage 1–2 strategic wholesale accounts with significant revenue responsibility.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships.
  • Develop and execute multi-year account plans.
  • Negotiate and manage long-term commercial agreements.
  • Identify and deliver upsell, cross-sell, and service-growth opportunities.
  • Present commercial and technical propositions with clarity and confidence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent partner experience.
  • Maintain high standards of governance, compliance, and data accuracy.

Person Requirements

Essential Experience

  • Background in telecoms or SaaS, ideally within wholesale services.
  • Proven success managing large strategic accounts and influencing C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Skilled in strategic planning and revenue forecasting.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience in UK fibre, Ethernet, or telecoms markets.
  • Knowledge of SaaS or technology-based commercial models.
