Purpose of the position:

As Personnel Logistics Team Lead you will report to the HR Supervisor. You will supervise a small personnel logistics team, supporting the Aberdeen ROV office and its global worksites. You will be the Personnel Logistics focal point for the Travel Management Company (TMC) and ensure the even distribution of workload for each vessel and worksite across the team including yourself.

How can you support us? Here below your responsibilities:

  • Supervise, mentor and support the Personnel Logistics Team as needed while monitoring their workload.
  • Mobilise and demobilise personnel from worldwide locations in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet Crew Change dates.
  • Manage all aspects of personnel logistics related to the assigned vessels and be the focal point to ensure Department Managers, Offshore Personnel and the Personnel Logistics Team are updated regarding vessel specific mobilisation/visa procedures.
  • Ensure that all offshore certification is valid prior to mobilization or remobilization (e.g. Passport, Seafarers ID, Offshore Survival Training Certs like BOSIET/FOET/STCW/OLF/, Medical Fitness Cert like OGUK and Saipem Medical, Yellow Fever Cert).
  • Work closely with the HR Team to ensure that offshore training/medical refreshers are booked in accordance with offshore mobilisation dates.
  • Book and manage all travel (flights/car hires/hotels/trains) with the company Travel Management Company (TMC), ensuring Travel is arranged as per contractual and operational requirements and in line with Saipem Work Instructions.
  • Ensure that the Personal Details Staff List is kept up to date with crew’s travel preferences and that all updates are passed to HR for processing.
  • Assist the wider HR team with personnel movements and liaise with recruitment officers regarding new personnel.
  • Be part of the On Call rota, dealing with all out of hours queries from vessels and personnel (covering Thursday to Thursday).

What are we looking for?

Experience: 6-8 years organising global travel within a fast-paced Personnel Logistics Department in the ROV or Oil & Gas industry.

Technical skills: Visa processes, Offshore training/certification requirements, people mentoring and knowledge transfer.
