Junior CAD Design Draftsperson

We have a new requirement for a Junior CAD Design Draftsperson within our Bridge of Don, Aberdeen Office. Please note: All applicants must reside in the UK and possess full, permanent UK right-to-work status, as Saipem is unable to offer sponsorships.

Start Date: To be agreed with the successful candidate; with a preference for an immediate start.

Salary/Rate: Please provide individual rate expectation.

Responsibilities include:

• Execute the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements.
• Verify that the input information used for the work assigned is keeping up with the project development and inform the Designers, Engineers, or Structural Project Specialist Lead on any detected anomaly.
• Carry out 3D modelling & 2D tasks using AutoCAD & Inventor.
• Prepare design drawings for primary, secondary, and tertiary structures.
• Prepare bill of materials or material take-off for requisitions.
• Ensure the quality of documents produced by a permanent and adequate self-check.
• Verify documents produced by other Draftspersons of the team when required.
• Update the documents produced after comments issued by other disciplines (Inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders on the project (Client, Yard, Third party review, etc).
• Apply the relevant provisions of operations/assets or CAD Quality Procedure during the work assigned.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Experience with Autodesk-based CAD products, including AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
• HNC/ND in Mechanical Engineering preferred but not necessary.
• Previous experience as a CAD Draftsperson, with relevant Offshore/Subsea Engineering background.
