This position will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and ongoing expansion of Ada’s Infrastructure footprint across EMEA. Reporting to the Head of EMEA, this position will require the successful candidate to collaborate closely with the Ares Management investments team to assess and explore new opportunities for expansion.

This person will use their experience and network, working with brokers and our investment team to unearth opportunities. They will validate if an opportunity works, i.e. zoned appropriately, path to power and permitting is timely, path to planning if required, potential customer base to whom Ada can lease/sell the asset, etc. – essentially all aspects of selecting a site that works. The culmination of the site selection process will be the development and delivery of a 2 pager that the leadership team of Ada reviews and decides whether or not to proceed.

This position requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise and a deep understanding of data center infrastructure as well as a strong commercial background. As Ada grows and matures this leader will own scaling their team appropriately.

Key responsibilities:
  • Understand DC penetration and vacancy and identify regions where ADA should operate.
  • Identify and validate sites for infrastructure development.
  • Develop a 2 page analysis and proposal document (collaborating with the investments team) to present to senior ADA leadership outlining whether or not to proceed with a site and why it does or does not work.
  • Negotiate the purchase of selected site, be the ADA point of contact for the seller.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or finance or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in a site selection or project execution role with 5+ years experience in a commercial role.
  • A technical understanding of data centres and the key technical components that are required for site viability.
  • Excellent communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills.
