This individual will be responsible for driving value creation, operational performance, and disciplined execution across Ares’ Residential and Living portfolio across EMEA, including multifamily, student housing and other living strategies as applicable.Duties and Responsibilities:Develop and execute strategic asset management plans for a diverse portfolio of real estate investments across the living sectors in Europe. Focus will be on pan-European operational real estate, including involvement in backed management companiesCoordinate debt workstreams, including refinancing of assets and any restructuringLead conversations with JV partners to drive forward business plansManage the disposal process, including leading all transaction execution workstreamsMonitor and evaluate property performance, and market trends to identify opportunities for value enhancement and cash flow optimisation.Active review of any property management agreements / lease agreements / franchise contracts to ensure optimal strategy for assets / portfoliosImplement and oversee property-level business plans including capital expenditure programs and operational strategies to maximize asset value and investor returns.Oversee quarterly business plan and valuation updatesAssist in driving the multifamily asset management strategy across the businessCollaborate closely with internal teams, including acquisitions, finance, legal and investor relationsQualifications / Requirements:5+ years experience in real estate / finance from a private equity, investment management backgroundExperience working in operational real estate asset classesExperience working on bank refinancings and debt restructuringsOutstanding academic record from a top-tier university with a minimum 2:1 (or equivalent)Analytical and technical-minded, able to conduct operational analysis, with strong financial modelling skills requiredHands-on, with the ability to be effective in a small and nimble teamExcellent attention to detailReporting RelationshipsThere is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity.
