Primary Functions & Responsibilities
- Support the EMEA Business Operations Talent Management team and HR Business Partners with a variety of day‑to‑day HR matters and projects across multiple European jurisdictions.
- Lead on selected projects and meetings effectively.
- Build rapport and establish working relationships with clients and other key stakeholders outside of the immediate team.
- Proactively address client needs and anticipate future requirements.
- Anticipate HR and business needs to help drive results.
- Employee lifecycle ownership including running the probation review process, owning end-to-end leaver processes and completing regulated reference requests for certified staff.
- Document production for parental leaves, flexible work arrangements, updates to employment agreements, leaver letters, transfer letters, etc.
- Utilise and leverage HR Metrics reports to create data insights for leadership and board meetings as well as completing ad-hoc reporting requests.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to HR Associates on all aspects of delivering a high-quality, accurate service.
- Work with the HR Operations team on continuous improvement projects and best practices.
- Support and advise clients directly as appropriate on ER matters with guidance from Senior HRBPs and Employee Relations. This could include involvement in disciplinary, capability, grievance, dismissal, restructuring, TUPE and redundancy processes as well as note-taking in investigation meetings and drafting scripts.
- Manage Workday processes for the EMEA Business Operations population, including creation of new positions, transfer of employees, annual leave adjustments and ensuring correct documentation is uploaded.
- Guide managers through performance review processes, goal setting and continuous feedback to drive employee engagement and productivity.
- Manage a range of local in-country requirements across continental Europe (e.g., related to leaves and statutory filings).
- Advise employees on the application of a variety of local policies in line with firm-wide standards.
- Support the business with outsourced service provider, consultant and secondment requests; invoice processing for the HR team.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees across EMEA, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Perform any other tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 4-8 years of experience in Human Resources; HR operational experience strongly preferred (Workday experience is a plus).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple complex, time-sensitive priorities and competing demands with multiple stakeholders, strong time-management and prioritisation skills, ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication (written and verbal), presentation, documentation and interpersonal skills; client focus and ability to confidently interact with various levels of an organisation.
- Highly effective problem-solving and analytical skills; strong analytical ability and evaluative thinking skills, demonstrated ability to analyse data, spot trends and put forth value-added observations/recommendations.
- Very strong attention to detail, highly organised and process-driven.
- Ability to work collaboratively and develop strong partnerships with clients and HR colleagues.
- Dependable, positive attitude, highly motivated and an outstanding team player.
- A self-directed individual with a can-do attitude, proactive and adaptable, with a proven ability to learn quickly.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability; demonstrates sound judgment and decision making.
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately and exercise good judgment in escalating issues versus solving problems independently.
- Flexibility in terms of hours to coordinate with team members across various time zones and assigned tasks.
