Join a dynamic team driving the future of safe, sustainable and high-performance data centers. As the EHS Manager, you will support the design, construction and operational phases of our UK-based facilities, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, compliance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Policy and Program Development and Risk Management: Develop and implement local policies and procedures to ensure compliance with global company standards, conduct hazard analyses, risk assessments and site inspections, and mitigate risks associated with construction and operations.
- Incident Management: Investigate accidents, near-misses and other incidents, implement corrective actions, participate in root-cause analysis and ensure reporting to leadership and regulatory agencies.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with EHS regulations and industry standards (OSHA, NFPA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) relevant to construction and data centers.
- Training and Development: Organise, conduct and oversee safety training for employees and contractors, evaluate effectiveness and improve programs as needed.
- Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Track, analyse and report on EHS metrics, identify trends and provide recommendations to leadership.
- EHS in Design: Integrate EHS principles into design reviews, collaborate with engineering and construction teams to reduce hazards such as electrical risks, confined spaces, heat stress and ergonomic strain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in an EHS role, with managerial or leadership experience.
- Experience in data centers, critical facilities, construction or industrial environments preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; ability to develop positive relationships across teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with contractor safety programs.
- Proficiency in EHS management software, tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
