Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate new investment opportunities by conducting due diligence, researching industries and comparable companies, interviewing fund sponsors, and preparing financial models as part of an underwriting team.
- Conduct quantitative and qualitative due diligence on infrastructure limited partnership interests and their underlying company investments.
- Develop a network of contacts in the infrastructure industry through deal negotiations, due diligence activities and attendance at industry conferences and fund sponsor annual meetings.
- Prepare presentations to investors, firm partner group and counterparties.
- Support deal team in transaction management, including negotiations with sellers and execution of closings.
Education / Experience Required
- 2-4 years’ experience in investment banking (Infrastructure, Power & Utilities preferred but not required), Infrastructure, or secondaries principal investing, Infrastructure valuation or restructuring advisory services.
- Strong analytical capabilities, financial analysis, writing and presentation skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and financial modeling.
- Proven track record of leadership skills, and a strong record of academic achievement.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a dynamic team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a professional, polished demeanour.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to handle and thrive with increased independence.
- Displays comfort in dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to research and leverage available resources to accomplish the task at hand.
- Possess good judgement and understanding when to solve issues independently vs. when to elevate to a senior team member.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field (helpful but not required).
- Second European language will be considered positively.
