Role: HR Operations – this team serves as the functional expert in HR-related systems, executes HR programs and processes, and partners with the HRIS team to drive technical improvements and continuous process enhancements. The ideal candidate will assist the HR team in a broad range of operational, programmatic, and project management duties, including support for new hires and related background checks/data entries/notifications, and will serve as the HR contact for new hires.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee, HR, and business leader inquiries and provide ad-hoc support for requests to the HR Operations team.
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and other functions to resolve inquiries, deliver solutions, and recommend process improvements.
- Own data quality and accuracy in the Workday system; conduct regular audits and coordinate with team members to resolve data issues.
- Manage completion of new hire onboarding tasks in Workday; coordinate with recruitment and new hires to ensure tasks are completed prior to start date.
- Oversee onboarding communications and forms to internal functions (e.g., IT, Compliance, Payroll, Corporate Services) to ensure seamless onboarding.
- Manage background checks by reviewing progress, obtaining information as needed, and consulting with legal on any flags.
- Support New Hire Orientation for Mumbai-based hires (full-time and temporary), including delivering presentations and maintaining knowledge of firm structure, policies, compensation and rewards, travel and expense policies, and benefits.
- Regularly review and update HR Operations SOPs to reflect changes in policies and organizational needs.
- Maintain and administer the Education Sponsorship Program, ensuring eligibility, paperwork, approvals, and handling reimbursements or repayments as necessary.
- Assist with other related projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; HR certifications preferred.
Experience: 2-5 years of business experience, preferably in financial services; prior HR experience and HRIS/Workday experience are preferred; data entry experience is advantageous.
