As a Mid-Level/Journeyman ServiceNow Developer at Ares, your role is instrumental in shaping, creating, and maintaining our client's ServiceNow platform. You will collaborate closely with multifaceted teams to grasp business needs, convert them into technical solutions, and ensure the seamless execution of ServiceNow applications. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to showcase your ServiceNow development prowess while contributing to Ares' growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the customization and development of ServiceNow applications, encompassing Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service Catalog.
- Craft and enhance applications using diverse development platforms such as ServiceNow, SharePoint Online, Power Apps/Power Automate, Salesforce, and Tableau.
- Partner with Product Owners, the Platform Architect, and Business Analysts to strategize optimal implementation approaches for each requirement.
- Develop, conduct, and document test cases for newly developed functionality.
- Leverage expertise in standard ARL development environment tools, such as Jira and GitLab.
- Lead a team of senior, journeyman, and junior ServiceNow Developers, providing guidance and mentoring.
- Undertake tasks related to maintaining business system applications, including rectifying and enhancing software-based capabilities.
- Execute unit and regression tests, and effectively utilize Configuration Management and Build tools.
- Maintain the Low Code Platform, such as ServiceNow or its equivalent.
- Oversee the production, monitoring, and organization of all source code, scripts, diagrams, and documentation for any system within your purview.
- Implement the ServiceNow Platform, ensuring adherence to the Risk Management Framework.
- Develop and execute ARL requirements for software customization, adhering to agile Scrum development principles.

Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Required to pass a background check and obtain and hold a DoD clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Developer with hands-on development experience.
- Minimum: ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator (CSA)
- Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
- Proficiency in JavaScript, GlideScript, and other ServiceNow scripting languages.
- Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform components, including Service Catalog, Incident Management, Change Management, and Service Portal.
- Experience with ServiceNow integration, including REST and SOAP APIs.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
