The Sales Development Representative at Arenko is responsible for generating and qualifying new potential clients. The ideal candidate will be our new data driven brand ambassador who excels at establishing new relationships and preparing new business opportunities for the Business Development team to close. This is an opportunity for an experienced SDR to work with a successful commercial team in the clean energy space. The chosen candidate will be learning from the sales team’s market and sales knowledge, with a clear path to a Junior Business Development position in this growing industry.
- Sales Operations:
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and prospect information in the customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Administrative responsibility for sales pipeline reporting and forecasting
- Support the Commercial Team in preparing sales collateral and work closely with marketing on campaign actions and follow up
- Leverage data and the right tools to ensure efficiency of the Commercial function
- Prospecting:
- Support ongoing market research adhering to sales best practises (i.e. TAM SAM SOM)
- Targeted outbound prospecting to Arenko’s ideal customer profiles
- Multi-channel approach utilising cold calls, emails, events and social media
- Multi-tiered approach leveraging knowledge of client’s organisational structure
- Lead Qualification:
- Establish the needs of prospects and suggest appropriate products or services
- Adhere to sales best practises (i.e. BANT)
- Provide high-quality prospects to the Business Development Team
- Prepare briefing documents with research and intelligence on the prospect and their growth plan.

- You have a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Business, Marketing, Engineering or Energy related courses or have relevant experience
- You have a minimum of two years experience in a sales or marketing role, dealing directly with prospects and clients
- You’ve previously worked in software, technology and/or renewable energy sectors
- You’re experienced with Hubspot or other CRM software
- You have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and are able to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with all stakeholder levels and with cross-functional teams to build credibility and strong relationships at all levels internally and externally
- You have a fundamental passion for the clean energy transition. Arenko is at the forefront of the clean energy transition and you will play a key role in our continued growth
- You’re an excellent collaborator and team player that can work closely with others
- You have a strong ability to solve problems and think creatively when addressing a prospect’s needs and align this with Arenko’s strategy to create win-win opportunities
- You have a data-driven approach by gathering insights from the sales pipeline that ensure goals are exceeded
- You’re a self-starter with the ability to thrive in a start-up/scale-up environment where ambition is key
- You have strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks both internally and externally
- You have strong organisational and time management skills, including the ability to successfully prioritise and manage multiple urgent tasks to tight timelines.
