Are you ready to take your first step into the world of Human Resources? We’re looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented HR Apprentice to join our team, across a unique and fast‑paced multi‑venue business within the horse and greyhound industry. This is more than just an apprenticeship — it’s your chance to gain real, hands‑on experience in HR while working towards a Level 3 HR Support qualification, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting day‑to‑day HR administration including data entry, filing, and maintaining records
  • Assisting with recruitment – posting vacancies, coordinating interviews, and communicating with candidates
  • Helping onboard new employees, preparing induction materials and organising sessions
  • Maintaining accurate employee records in line with data protection regulations
  • Supporting training and development activities, including booking sessions and tracking attendance
  • Getting involved in HR projects such as employee engagement initiatives and process improvements
  • Using and maintaining the HR system (HRIS), including running reports and updating information
  • Acting as a first point of contact for basic employee queries, escalating where needed
  • Assisting with ensuring compliance with employment laws and keeping HR policies up to date

What We’re Looking For

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A genuine interest in HR and a desire to develop a long‑term career
