We are seeking a Junior Accounts Assistant to join our Finance Media team. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in finance and accounting, with a passion for developing their skills and gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced environment. As a Junior Accounts Assistant, you will support the team in carrying out a variety of accounting tasks and maintaining accurate financial records.
Key Responsibilities for the role
- Billing for Media UK and International accounts
- Assist with reconciling customer accounts and statements.
- Assist with client allocations, ensuring accuracy.
- Support the team in chasing outstanding debt.
- Input and maintain financial data within the company’s accounting systems.
- Check client accounts for completeness in terms of billing accuracy.
- Assist the International management accountant with month end tasks.
- Assist with Revenue data entry and recognition
- Assist with accruals and prepayments.
- Respond to basic customer queries related to invoices and payments.
- Support with audit queries, as required.
About You
- Some experience in a finance or accounting role is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Strong numerical skills with attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. Exchequer) is a bonus but not required.
