About the role
We are looking to hire a Financial Accountant based at our Head Office in Millbank, London. The role of the Financial Accountant will be to work alongside Finance team colleagues and be responsible for performing a range of accounting and reporting tasks in the Accounts function. The Financial Accountant will support the Group Finance Manager to ensure that financial reports, to both internal and external users, accurately reflect the financial position of the Group.
Key responsibilities for the role will include:
- Preparing the weekly fixture report as well as month and year end summary reports.
- Actively support in improving and finding efficiencies of process and systems.
- Provide support for reporting and analysis (including the monthly board pack) in conjunction with the Group Finance Manager.
- Reviewing VAT returns for the group.
- Being the main point of contact for the audit of the Head Office entities and provide support to the Group Finance Manager for the group audit.
- Provide support with compliance related matters (i.e. ONS surveys, ESOS, SECR and other HMRC correspondence).
- Provide support to the Group Finance Manager and other functions within the wider Group Finance team.
- Support implementation of new processes and best practice.
About you
- 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA or similar qualified
- Take initiative and the ability to work independently
- Team player with pronounced numerical affinity and accuracy
- Previous experience with ERP systems (Netsuite) an advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication with good attention to detail
