Are you an organised, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment? We are looking for an ambitious Business Manager to work closely with the Executive Director, playing a key role in delivering outstanding racedays and events at our vibrant venue. This is a varied, hands-on position offering real responsibility and the opportunity to make a visible impact. You’ll work across commercial, operational and event activity, collaborating with multiple teams to ensure every experience runs seamlessly from start to finish.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and managing strong relationships with catering partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Overseeing the planning and delivery of non-catering events, including self-catered weddings and venue hire bookings
  • Supporting show rounds, engaging with customers and confidently handling on-site enquiries
  • Leading event and raceday operational setup alongside Operations and Catering teams
  • Providing support and occasional cover for the Hospitality & Events Manager
  • Developing trusted relationships with customers, sponsors, stakeholders and contractors
  • Ensuring facilities, staffing and services meet the highest presentation, safety and operational standards
  • Championing company values, health & safety compliance and best practice across the site
  • Coordinating event logistics including suppliers, security, signage, cleaning and costings for both raceday and non-raceday activity

What we’re looking for:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in venue or operational management (racecourse or stadia experience is advantageous)
  • Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and relationship-management skills
  • Highly organised, with excellent planning and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-driven, positive and collaborative, with a flexible, hands‑on approach
