We’re looking for an organised, personable and reliable Office and Personal Assistant to support the smooth running of our Head Office and provide day-to-day assistance to a small number of senior colleagues. This is a varied, hands-on role combining office administration with light PA-style support. You’ll be the friendly first point of contact for the office, help keep everything running efficiently, and support up to two or three senior team members with practical, straightforward tasks. This role would suit someone early in their career who wants exposure to personal assistant work and the opportunity to develop, or someone more experienced who enjoys being the dependable “go-to” person for everyone.
What you’ll be doing:
- Acting as the first point of contact for calls and visitors
- Managing meeting rooms, setting up meetings and hosting guests
- Keeping office documents, spreadsheets and staff lists up to date
- Ordering supplies and liaising with building management and suppliers
- Handling incoming and outgoing post
- Supporting office socials, events and new starters
- Supporting health & safety requirements (fire warden / first aider training provided)
- Supporting senior team members
- Light diary and meeting management (in person and via Teams)
- Inbox support where required
- Taking notes or minutes and drafting simple correspondence
- Processing expenses
- Booking travel and accommodation
- Supporting team days or away days
This is not a traditional, high-pressure PA role. The Office and Personal Assistant role is shared across a small number of people and focused on practical, day-to-day support rather than complex diary or stakeholder management.
About you:
- Friendly, confident and comfortable dealing with people at all levels
- Well organised, with good attention to detail
- Proactive and able to spot what needs doing
- Literate, professional, trustworthy and reliable
- Comfortable using Word, Outlook and basic Excel
- Educated to GCSE level, including English and Maths
If you enjoy variety, being at the heart of an office and making life easier for others, the Office and Personal Assistant role could be a great fit.
What ARC can offer you:
- Personal Development and Bonuses: Discretionary group annual bonus schemes to reward your hard work, Employee referral scheme because your opinion matters, Internal development programmes to help you progress, Support with study through our study assistance schemes
- Days Out & Leave: 2 Annual Members badges, giving access to over 500 racedays, as well as discounts on hospitality & room rates at ARC venues, annual leave entitlement starting at 22 days plus bank and public holidays - increasing on your work anniversaries up to 28 days!
- Health & Wellbeing: Company life assurance scheme, Employee Health Cash Plan, Cycle to work scheme
At ARC, we believe that a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace makes us a more relevant, more competitive, and more resilient company. We welcome people from all backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and experiences. We are an equal opportunities employer and do not discriminate on the grounds of gender, sexual orientation, marital or civil partner status, pregnancy or maternity, gender reassignment, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief, disability or age.
