About the role
As Regional Marketing Manager, you will shape and drive the marketing vision across five racecourses – Bath, Chepstow, Hereford, Ffos Las, and Worcester. You will lead the creation and delivery of powerful, revenue‑generating campaigns that make a real commercial impact in a diverse and exciting industry. Your work will span thrilling horseracing and a variety of events throughout the year. With regular on‑site presence required across all five sites, you will immerse yourself in each venue’s unique character, audiences, and opportunities. By crafting bold, integrated strategies that captivate racegoers and corporate clients alike, you will work with senior stakeholders and management to understand their needs and requirements. Blending creative thinking with sharp commercial focus, you will take ownership of maximising return on budget and elevating the profile and success of every racecourse within your region.
Responsibilities
- Execute the central and local marketing strategy for the region to maximise sales across all raceday and non‑raceday income lines.
- Review and book media campaigns and proactively seek new opportunities to raise the profile of the racecourses and fixtures locally.
- Create engaging content via written pieces, videos and photos for websites, social media and emails.
- Take ownership of optimizing the region’s websites in accordance with the SEO Manager’s direction, ensuring KPIs are achieved.
- Brief internal designers on marketing campaigns and collateral from conception through to final delivery, ensuring timeframes are maintained, materials are accurate, and distribution aligns with the campaign strategy.
- Manage racecourse‑specific social channels to drive engagement and conversion; collaborate closely with the group social media manager to refine strategy and optimize engagement.
- Monitor and respond to customer feedback and work to actively improve brand perception online.
- Support in‑campaign and post‑campaign analysis, preparing reports and implementing optimisation initiatives to improve live activity.
- Develop strong internal relationships and proactively communicate regional and central marketing plans and strategy.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience; marketing qualification preferred.
- Minimum 4‑years’ experience within a similar marketing role.
- Line management experience required.
- Budget management experience required.
- Knowledge and understanding of the leisure sector or hospitality‑based business preferred, ideally in a B2C focused role.
- Excellent time management and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent writing and technology skills; familiarity with modern marketing techniques and systems.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders.
- Experience delivering a range of on‑ and offline marketing collateral effective within campaigns.
- Experience with social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter), CRM platforms and CMS.
- Creative and enthusiastic with a positive attitude; results‑orientated.
