The on-site Hilton Garden Inn offers 154 bedrooms, conference and exhibition suites, a banqueting site, restaurant and bar. This is part of a multinational hotel chain with a reputation that precedes it.
The role of a Casual Food & Beverage Assistant will include:
- Greeting guests as they arrive at our restaurants, directing guests to tables, providing menus and taking orders
- Delivering food from the kitchen to guests at the table or to rooms
- Keeping bar and drink service areas stocked with beverages
- Taking drinks orders and serving drinks to guests at their table or throughout the venue
- Opening wine bottles at the table and pouring drinks for guests
- Wiping down tables and chairs, removing rubbish and clearing
- Setting up, arranging tables and assisting with the preparation of event spaces
Casual work is a flexible arrangement that enables you to work around other commitments. After you register your interest, you will be contacted in advance to offer department-based shifts on race days or hospitality functions. Shifts are usually available based on the busy seasons and the annual racing calendar, and positions may be allocated on the day as part of the briefing.
