Sunderland Greyhound Stadia is a premier racing venue, hosting thrilling greyhound action five days a week—Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday. We offer a top-tier hospitality experience, featuring private boxes and restaurants, making us a popular destination for racegoers, celebrations, and corporate events. With an exciting atmosphere, a packed race schedule, and a strong community following, we’re a dynamic venue that thrives on delivering great entertainment and exceptional service.
Key responsibilities for the role:
- Ensuring workspaces and public areas remain clean and tidy throughout and after service.
- Carrying out cleaning duties as needed, always following Health & Safety and COSHH guidelines.
- Operating and maintaining the plate wash and pot wash machines, including daily cleaning.
- Assisting with stock rotation and safely storing food in line with Health & Safety regulations.
- Using cleaning chemicals when required, while following PPE and safety guidelines.
The person we are looking for as Kitchen Porter has:

- Excellent verbal communication and customer care skills.

What is casual work?

There are usually a range of shifts available and opportunities for work are based on busy seasons and the annual racing calendar. Positions will be allocated on the day as part of the briefing.
