The Senior Financial Controller (Media & International) will be responsible for leading the Media & International Finance team, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial information within a robust control environment. Based in Millbank, London, the role will work closely with the Head of Finance (Media & International) and other departmental leads.
Key responsibilities for the role will include:
- Responsible and accountable for the delivery of the Media & International management accounts on a monthly basis in a timely manner.
- Responsible for the delivery of the monthly management accounts packs, with fully reconciled supporting documents and Balance Sheets.
- Maintain forecasting reporting of profit and loss and cashflow and ownership of the budget for the Media & International entities.
- Review bank reconciliations, intercompany and VAT returns for the Media entities ensuring robust controls are in place.
- Management and develop the Media & International Finance team including Credit Control.
- Preparation and management of the year end Audit process for the media business.
- Actively support in improving and finding efficiencies of process and systems – documenting policies and procedures.
- Actively participate in the digital transformation project team with the implementation of NetSuite and satellite digital systems.
- Supervise weekly debtor meetings with Finance heads and CFO.
- Oversee Media & International payment runs.
About you:
- You are a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), with minimum 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Have previously managed and mentored finance teams.
- Previous experience working with senior executives and boards.
- Take initiative and have the ability to work independently.
- Team player with pronounced numerical affinity and accuracy.
- Previous experience with ERP systems (Exchequer/Netsuite), and reporting platforms (Tableau, PowerBI) an advantage.
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks, set goals and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
