We are seeking a Transport Coordinator to join our Transport team based in Wimbledon. This role will support the Assistant Transport Manager in the effective day-to-day operation of the department, ensuring high standards of service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for drivers, porters, internal stakeholders, and clients, coordinating transport activities and resolving operational issues in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Support and deputise for the Assistant Transport Manager as required
- Act as the primary daily point of contact for drivers and porters
- Coordinate deliveries and collections to ensure timely and efficient service
- Manage client enquiries and requests via telephone and email
- Resolve customer and operational issues in line with internal procedures
- Create and process purchase orders for vehicle maintenance, couriers, and agency labour
- Undertake general administrative duties to support the Transport function
- Monitor workflows and ensure systems and processes are consistently followed
- Deliver a professional service to clients while managing internal challenges effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management abilities
- High level of attention to detail with the ability to anticipate potential issues
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
