Arena Group is seeking a Regional Head of ESG & Sustainability to lead the integration of environmental, social, and governance principles across our event infrastructure operations in the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Asia. This is a senior leadership role focused on driving real operational change — embedding sustainability into how we design, build, deliver, and dismantle event infrastructure at scale.
Reporting to the CEO (EMEA), you will work closely with regional leadership teams, project directors, and central functions to ensure ESG is a core driver of performance, innovation, and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the implementation of Arena Group’s ESG and sustainability strategy across multiple regions.
- Embed ESG principles into business planning, operational decision-making, and governance.
- Act as a senior advisor to executive leadership on ESG risks, opportunities, and priorities.
- Drive decarbonisation, circularity, and resource efficiency across event infrastructure and logistics.
- Influence design standards, material selection, asset investment, and delivery models.
- Champion innovative approaches to reuse, modularity, and waste reduction.
- Support bids, tenders, and client relationships with compelling ESG propositions.
- Build strong business cases demonstrating the commercial value of sustainability.
- Represent Arena Group with key clients, partners, regulators, and industry bodies.
- Oversee ESG performance measurement, reporting, and assurance.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 20121, ISO 14001, and regional regulatory requirements.
- Embed ESG expectations into supplier and subcontractor relationships.
- Lead and develop a regional sustainability team across multiple geographies.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture with a strong focus on impact and delivery.
You are a senior ESG or sustainability leader with experience operating in complex, operationally intensive environments such as events, construction, infrastructure, or logistics. You bring:
- Proven experience driving change across multiple regions.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder influence.
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to sustainability.
- Confidence working with senior leaders, clients, and external partners.
- Degree-qualified in environmental, sustainability, or related discipline.
- 7+ years’ experience in sustainability / ESG leadership roles.
- Experience in events, construction, infrastructure, or adjacent sectors.
- Strong knowledge of ESG standards, regulations, and best practice.
- Track record of leading and developing diverse teams.
