We are seeking a Transport Coordinator to join our Transport team based in Wimbledon. This role will support the Assistant Transport Manager in the effective day-to-day operation of the department, ensuring high standards of service delivery, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for drivers, porters, internal stakeholders, and clients, coordinating transport activities and resolving operational issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and deputise for the Assistant Transport Manager as required
  • Act as the primary daily point of contact for drivers and porters
  • Coordinate deliveries and collections to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Manage client enquiries and requests via telephone and email
  • Resolve customer and operational issues in line with internal procedures
  • Create and process purchase orders for vehicle maintenance, couriers, and agency labour
  • Undertake general administrative duties to support the Transport function
  • Monitor workflows and ensure systems and processes are consistently followed
  • Deliver a professional service to clients while managing internal challenges effectively
