Arena is a digital entertainment company building platforms people genuinely love — and we build them differently. Since 2021, our portfolio has grown to include MetaWin, WOW Vegas, BetZoo Media, Hit.com, and Rolla, with further brands in development. Our teams operate across London, Malta, Gibraltar, and Miami.

AI isn't something we bolt on — it's the foundation we build from. We're not constrained by legacy systems or legacy thinking. We design and build from the ground up, using modern infrastructure and emerging tooling to move faster and build better products.

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join our core engineering team — someone who is genuinely strong across the entire stack, comfortable on the frontend and the backend, and who uses AI tooling as a natural part of how they work. This is not a role for someone who leans heavily to one side and tolerates the other. We want engineers who can move fluidly across frontend, backend, and everything in between — owning features end to end, from the database layer through to the UI. You'll work directly with product and engineering leads, ship fast, and take real ownership of what you build.

You will design, build, and ship features across our product ecosystem — working across the full stack as the product demands. That means building clean, performant frontends that users love, solid backend services and APIs that hold up under load, and the plumbing in between that keeps everything connected and reliable. You will contribute to system design and architecture discussions, help shape how we evolve our products, and take features from idea through to production. You will use AI development tooling daily to move faster, debug smarter, and take on more complex problems than you could otherwise — and you will bring that mindset to everything you ship.

You will have solid professional experience across both frontend and backend development, with a real portfolio of shipped products rather than just contributed codebases. You are equally comfortable building a React frontend and designing the API it calls. You write clean, maintainable code, think about how things will hold up in production, and care about quality as much as speed. Most importantly, you use AI tools actively and practically every day — not as a novelty, but as a genuine accelerant to your output. You can speak concretely about how they change the way you work.

Core technical skills we are looking for:

  • On the frontend you will be strong in TypeScript and JavaScript, comfortable with React and Next.js, and experienced building performant, well-structured UIs.
  • On the backend you will be comfortable with one or more of Go, Rust, C#, Node.js, or Python, with solid experience designing and operating APIs, working with Postgres, and building services that are reliable and maintainable. Experience with real-time systems, event-driven architecture, or messaging systems is a plus.
  • You have a working knowledge of CI/CD, version control, and deployment practices, and you are comfortable taking ownership of your work through to production without needing someone else to handle the operational side.

Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar is expected. We are not looking for people who have tried these tools — we are looking for people who cannot imagine working without them.

If you have experience with agentic AI workflows — building or using systems where AI agents automate tasks, orchestrate processes, or improve engineering efficiency — that is a strong differentiator and something we are actively exploring across the team. Blockchain and Web3 experience is also genuinely valued. We have existing capability in this area and while it is not a requirement for this role, a strong full stack engineer who can also work with Solidity, EVM, or similar on-chain tooling would stand out. Prior on-chain deployments, hackathon projects, or open source contributions in this space are all worth mentioning.

You are a builder. You have shipped real things and you can talk about them. You take ownership of your work, move fast without cutting corners, and use AI to expand what you are capable of rather than to replace your own thinking. You are comfortable working in a small, high-trust team where the scope of what you touch is broad and the feedback loop is short. This role is probably not for you if you prefer working within a narrow specialism, need a lot of structure before you can start, or have not yet integrated AI tooling into your daily workflow.

What We Offer: Competitive salary or day rate depending on arrangement, a genuine AI-first engineering culture, direct access to product and engineering leadership, and the freedom to experiment with modern tooling and ship things that matter. You will be part of a small, capable team working across an ambitious multi-brand portfolio, with an international culture spanning London, Gibraltar, and Miami.
