Our client, a leading UK bank, is seeking a People Operations Specialist to support employees throughout the entire employment journey— from initial application through every stage of the employee lifecycle. In this role, you will partner with the People Team to deliver a range of transactional activities, ensuring all systems are accurate, up to date, and maintained within required deadlines.
This is a fast‑paced environment, so you\’ll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities and handling a high volume of tasks with confidence and agility.
Location: Hybrid – London or Manchester office (3 days per week)
Rate: £280 per day (Inside IR35)
Hours: Standard Business Hours
Start: ASAP
Duration: 6‑month contract with likely extension
Responsibilities
- Managing the joiner, mover and leaver processes for all employees, ensuring contractual accuracy, compliance and minimisation of risks associated with these processes.
- Knowledge of background screening processes and administering in‑house background checks in line with business tolerances.
- Ensuring candidates have the correct Right to Work documentation and keeping up to date with regulations globally.
- Partnering with Workplace Technology to ensure seamless delivery of new hires tech and to support in arranging the return of tech from leavers.
- Supporting and/or delivering onboarding sessions.
- Responding to a high volume of queries from employees and developing clear frequently asked questions.
- Ensuring data in the HRIS and other people systems are accurately updated.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in a fast paced, high growth People Operations team.
- Demonstrable knowledge of International HR practices and regulations.
- Experience in a Financial Services, or highly regulated environment.
- Experience running and driving improvements in people processes; a positive and proactive attitude, with the ability to create order from chaos.
- Ambition to shape and create an efficient team through the implementation of new technology.
- High attention to detail.
- Confidence to build relationships with candidates, employees, and internal partners.
