Areen Design are looking for a Business Development & Marketing Lead to support the next stage of the company’s growth. As this is a newly created role for us, we are open to conversations with individuals who bring strong experience in Business Development, Marketing or a blend of both, and who are motivated to shape the role and its impact as the business evolves.
The Role
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a key role in driving growth through:
- Business development, pipeline creation and client acquisition
- Bid leadership and coordination
- Strategic marketing, brand positioning and market presence
The role is weighted approximately as follows, but this may flex depending on individual strengths:
- Business Development – c.60%
- Bid Management – c.20%
- Marketing – c.20%
Success will be measured through pipeline strength, conversion, bid performance and overall contribution to growth.
About You
We welcome applications from candidates who have previously worked in an Interior Design / Procurement Company with strengths in Business Development or Marketing, ideally with some exposure to both.
You may come from a background in:
- Business Development with strong client and pipeline responsibility
- Marketing with clear commercial impact and growth focus
- A hybrid BD / Marketing role
Proven experience contributing to business growth
- Experience supporting or leading bids, proposals, or pitches
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
- Experience working within Architecture, Interior Design, Construction, or the Built Environment
- Direct responsibility for winning new business
- Marketing strategy or brand leadership experience
- CRM experience
- Adobe Creative Suite, PR, awards, or digital experience
