The Role:
Our client is seeking a confident and driven hospitality professional to join their team as a Reservations Assistant/Host. This full-time position will be based between the reservations and reception teams, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You will be responsible for managing guest reservations, handling check-ins and check-outs, responding to phone calls and emails, and supporting the Rooms Manager with daily tasks. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in a front office or reception role, looking to progress into reservations and further their career. Food and beverage experience is beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage guest reservations with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, assisting with check-ins and check-outs.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring complete satisfaction.
  • Assist the Rooms Manager with administrative duties and daily operations.
  • Maintain effective communication between reception and reservations teams.
  • Manage phone and email correspondence efficiently.
  • Bring enthusiasm and energy to the team, consistently delivering exceptional service.

What Were Looking For:

  • A minimum of one years experience in a front office or reception role, ideally within a high-end hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish strong rapport with both guests and team members.
  • Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems.
  • A friendly, approachable personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different situations and resolve challenges confidently.
  • An interest in growing and developing your skills and knowledge within the hospitality industry.
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude with plenty of energy and enthusiasm.
