The Role:
Our client is seeking a confident and driven hospitality professional to join their team as a Reservations Assistant/Host. This full-time position will be based between the reservations and reception teams, ensuring a seamless guest experience from arrival to departure. You will be responsible for managing guest reservations, handling check-ins and check-outs, responding to phone calls and emails, and supporting the Rooms Manager with daily tasks. This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience in a front office or reception role, looking to progress into reservations and further their career. Food and beverage experience is beneficial but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage guest reservations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, assisting with check-ins and check-outs.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, ensuring complete satisfaction.
- Assist the Rooms Manager with administrative duties and daily operations.
- Maintain effective communication between reception and reservations teams.
- Manage phone and email correspondence efficiently.
- Bring enthusiasm and energy to the team, consistently delivering exceptional service.
What Were Looking For:
- A minimum of one years experience in a front office or reception role, ideally within a high-end hotel or restaurant environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish strong rapport with both guests and team members.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems.
- A friendly, approachable personality with a genuine passion for hospitality.
- The ability to adapt quickly to different situations and resolve challenges confidently.
- An interest in growing and developing your skills and knowledge within the hospitality industry.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with plenty of energy and enthusiasm.
