Arecibo is seeking an accomplished Regional Finance Manager on behalf of a well-established hotel group in the Central Belt. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes and supporting multi-site hotel operations.
The Role
- People & Team Development
- Train and support Accounts Assistants across four hotels to ensure consistent financial standards.
- Recognise potential within the team and help shape development plans.
- Manage holiday and cover planning to maintain seamless finance support.
- Financial Reporting & Controls
- Prepare and review month-end journals and ensure accurate P&Ls.
- Maintain well-supported balance sheets, addressing any exceptions promptly.
- Partner with GMs and Regional Directors to oversee staffing levels, workforce planning and payroll accuracy.
- Cost Management (Food, Beverage & Operational)
- Ensure menus and beverage offerings are properly costed and deliver expected margins.
- Support stocktake accuracy and investigate significant variances.
- Monitor leisure, spa and retail stock levels, ensuring robust control and reasonable stockholding.
- Forecasting & Business Insight
- Review weekly forecasts with hotel leadership, ensuring assumptions are realistic and well-supported.
- Validate all weekly financial submissions and follow up on actions from review meetings.
- Understand historical performance and cost drivers to support informed decision-making.
- Compliance & Commercial Governance
- Enforce credit control standards and support hotels in meeting debt targets.
- Review pricing for events, promotions and functions to ensure profitability.
- Oversee purchasing processes and assist during internal audits.
- Projects & Strategic Support
- Contribute to group projects, energy monitoring and efficiency planning.
- Support CAPEX evaluations and ROI assessments.
- Ensure teams are trained on key systems including Zonal, Opera, Fourth, PW and Premier.

- Strong hotel finance background, ideally with multi-site experience.
- Confident user of major hospitality finance systems and Excel.
- Collaborative leader who enjoys coaching teams and partnering with operations.
