An exciting opportunity has become available at Ardvreck School's expanding Nursery. We are seeking an energetic Early Years Childhood Practitioner to join the growing team in our fabulous Nursery, situated within the school's stunning and extensive grounds.

At Ardvreck Nursery, we offer a unique opportunity for pre-school children to experience the freedom of the natural world first hand. Surrounded by 42 acres of woodland, children have endless space to explore, learn and grow. Our days are filled with adventurous activities and play is led by the children's curiosity and wonder. We are looking for a caring, encouraging and qualified practitioner who will enhance this learning experience for our children through observing their needs and promoting a holistic approach to childcare. The successful candidate will have a love of the outdoors, excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. You will assist the Head of Nursery in maintaining and developing an outstanding education for up to 30 children aged between 3 and 5 in one of the leading outdoorsy nurseries in the land.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of Nursery in delivering an outstanding early years education for up to 30 children aged 3–5.
  • Observe and respond to children's needs, promoting holistic development and a love of the outdoors.
  • Work as part of a team to plan and implement age-appropriate activities within Ardvreck Nursery's natural environment.
Qualifications and qualities
  • Qualified practitioner with relevant Early Years qualifications.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for outdoor learning.
  • Ability to observe, reflect and contribute to continuous improvement of education in a woodland/natural setting.
