- 12, £26,824 to £28,598 per annum Quantity of Posts Available: 2 Closing date: Thursday 27 Aug :00 Job summary The person appointed will be responsible for carrying out a range of cemetery, grounds and facility maintenance service tasks within all Parks & Cemeteries locations identified by the line manager either individually or as part of a team, ensuring all areas are well maintained, clean and presentable.
To ensure effective communication with site users, other members of the team and line management.
Assist in the community development of the Parks and Cemeteries Service through internal and external initiatives that engage Service stakeholders.
Please Note This is a permanent, full time post, working 36 hours per week.
2 posts available The working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 4.00pm and Friday 8.00 am to 2.30 pm.
The postholder must be able to work outside normal working hours, including weekends (this will involve gravedigging at weekends, public holidays, and late burials).
This will also include being on standby for specified periods A valid driving licence to include categories C1+E (Candidates without C1+E must complete this classification within 12 months of appointment) Recognised digger and dumper licence or must complete this within 12 months of appointment Will be required to work outside normal working hours, including weekends (this will involve gravedigging at weekends, public holidays, and late burials).
This will also include being on standby for specified periods Appointment will be subject to completion of a medical questionnaire including a pre-employment Drugs and Alcohol Screening A driving assessment by Council will form part of the selection process A reserve list maybe maintained from this recruitment Applicants should refer to the candidate guidance before completing their application.
