The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 Β£ per year.
The postholder will be responsible for the provision of soccer coaching to a wide range of groups including schools, clubs, community groups, disability groups and any others that may be identified. The postholder will be expected to organise sessions according to the ability of the group.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervising and coaching to a range of participants in Soccer development programmes across the Borough.
- Instruction in the safe and beneficial use of equipment where appropriate.
- Development of scheme participants through a coaching programme agreed with the Sports and Recreation Development Assistant - Soccer.
- Implementing and complying with all the declared policies and procedures of the Council.
- To comply with and promote equality, health and safety in accordance with Council Policies and legal requirements.
- To undertake any other appropriate duties as may be allocated from time to time in accordance with the general nature of the post.

QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
- Soccer Coach Rate B only
- IFA Level 1/NCC
- First Aid qualified; applicants who do not have this qualification are required to complete it within 3 months of appointment.

EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
- Soccer Coach Rate B
- Experience in soccer coaching, working with young people aged 5-16 years of age.
DESIRABLE
- Experience working with Disability groups.
- Soccer Coach Rate A
- Demonstrate an interest in football and sport by providing personal and specific examples where you have volunteered or assisted in coaching in a club environment.
KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES
ESSENTIAL
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work without supervision.

- Applicants must consent to a pre-employment Enhanced with barred list Access NI check.
- Applicants must agree to undertake all relevant training including: Safeguarding training, First Aid Training.
- Applicants must be able to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Applicants must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to safeguarding responsibilities.
- The post holder will be required to travel throughout the Borough and therefore applicants must have a valid driving licence with access to a form of transport which will enable the post holder to meet the requirements of the post (Business Insurance Certificate and a copy of the Vehicle Registration Document are required).
- Applicants must agree to obtain First Aid qualification within 3 months of appointment, if qualification not already held.
