Job summary

As a key leader within the Council, the postholder will be responsible for the effective delivery and continuous improvement of services within their portfolio. Reporting to a Director, they will lead the delivery of high-quality, citizen-focused services that are aligned with the Councils Corporate Plan.
The postholder will play a vital role in translating strategic priorities into operational plans, ensuring services are responsive, innovative, and continuously improving. They will lead multidisciplinary teams with a focus on collaboration, performance, and outcomes

Assessment Centre will be held week commencing 28 July 2025 and Interviews will be held week commencing 4 August 2025.
This is a permanent, full-time post, working 36 hours per week.
The working hours are Monday to Thursday 9.00am to 5.00pm and Friday 9.00 am to 4.30 pm.
A reserve list may be kept from this recruitment exercise.
This post is based at Balloo Environmental Resource Centre and North Road Depot, Newtownards (other Council buildings as required)
