About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Gas & Oil Heating Engineer to join their busy and growing team. Operating from a network of regional offices across the East of England and the Midlands, they provide market-leading heating and hot water solutions with comprehensive coverage and responsive local support. The successful candidate will carry out servicing and repairs on domestic heating and hot water systems, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards. Delivering excellent customer service and high-quality workmanship will be central to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repair work across a range of domestic properties.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
- Provide a high standard of customer care when dealing with clients and tenants.
- Communicate clearly regarding work progress and updates.
- Accurately complete required documentation, both electronically and manually.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH requirements.
- Follow stock control and ordering procedures to ensure availability of parts.
Skills, Experience & Requirements
- Current Gas qualifications (minimum): CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1.
- OFTEC certifications: OFT10-101, OFT10-105E, OFT10-600a.
- Experience servicing and repairing domestic heating systems.
- Willingness to participate in an out-of-hours evening and weekend rota.
- Professional, friendly manner with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and tenants.
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and high standards of workmanship.
- Successful completion of relevant criminal and reference checks prior to employment.
