The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Renewable Heating Engineer to join our client's growing team. This role is responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) systems across residential and commercial properties. The successful candidate will possess strong technical expertise in renewable heating technologies, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach. Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and repair renewable heating systems, ensuring optimum performance, efficiency, and safety.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on ASHP installations.
  • Conduct site inspections and system assessments, identifying opportunities for performance improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently to minimise downtime and disruption.
  • Provide guidance and support to customers on the effective operation and maintenance of renewable energy systems.
  • Work closely with engineering and technical teams to develop and implement system enhancements.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with industry regulations, health & safety requirements, and company standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records and provide detailed reports on system performance and completed works.

Skills & Experience

Essential Qualifications

  • Valid domestic gas qualifications including:
    • CCN1
    • CENWAT
    • HTR1
    • CKR1
  • NICEIC Air Source Heat Pumps Qualification
  • NICEIC Water Regulations Qualification
  • NICEIC Unvented Hot Water Systems (G3) Qualification
  • NICEIC Energy Efficiency Qualification
  • Full UK Driving Licence

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Renewable Heating Engineer, specifically with Air Source Heat Pump systems.
  • Strong technical understanding of renewable heating technologies and energy efficiency principles.
  • Good knowledge of gas safety regulations and relevant industry standards.
  • Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Professional, customer-focused approach with strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with Solar PV and/or Solar Thermal systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
