Our client is looking to recruit experienced HGV Class 2 Drivers to join their operational team based at Elmbridge Depot, Esher. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and hardworking drivers seeking long-term employment, with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

This is a hands-on role that combines driving duties with operational support, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy working as part of a team in a physically active environment.

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating refuse collection vehicles while working alongside waste operatives to complete daily collection routes. This is not a driving-only position. Drivers will be expected to assist with loading activities throughout the shift and work collaboratively to ensure collections are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate HGV Class 2 vehicles in accordance with road traffic legislation and company procedures.
  • Complete daily collection routes efficiently and safely.
  • Assist with loading refuse alongside waste operatives.
  • Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
  • Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
  • Deliver excellent standards of professionalism while representing our client.
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records where required.

Candidate Requirements

  • A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous commercial HGV Class 2 driving experience.
  • Please note: Newly qualified drivers cannot be considered for this position.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to undertake manual handling duties.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.

  • Monday to Friday
  • 06:00 – 14:00

Recruitment Process
