We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our client's team and play a key role in delivering major projects within the Ministry of Justice portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Manager to join our client's well-established Ministry of Justice sector, which is undergoing an exciting and sustained period of growth. The team has a strong track record of successfully delivering a diverse range of high-quality projects across the MoJ prison portfolio.

You will be working on one of our client's largest programmes of work, delivered in partnership with an alliance framework contractor and a highly experienced professional team. The programme incorporates modern methods of construction and standardised delivery processes, driving efficiency, quality and innovation.

The role supports successful project delivery across procurement and construction phases, managing consultants and stakeholders within a major justice-sector programme. You will provide end-to-end project management for new prison facilities in Suffolk, ensuring time, cost and quality objectives are achieved, while strengthening client relationships, maintaining robust governance, and supporting the project lead's strategic objectives.

The position operates on a hybrid basis, with attendance on site a minimum of three days per week, and the remainder split between home working and the regional office as required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing project delivery from initial brief through to completion.
  • Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and leading stakeholder engagement.
  • Overseeing design development, procurement strategies and risk management processes.
  • Maintaining quality standards, governance frameworks and programme performance.
  • Managing budgets, cost control and contractor interfaces.
  • Supporting the project lead and building strong, trusted client relationships.
  • Driving collaboration, innovation and the adoption of best-practice methodologies.
About You:
  • Professionally qualified (RICS, CIOB, APM or ICE) with strong experience delivering public-sector projects.
  • Proven project management capability, commercial acumen and experience administering NEC4 contracts.
  • Confident leading teams, engaging senior stakeholders and delivering complex property or infrastructure schemes.
  • A good understanding of carbon reduction, sustainability and mobility requirements across UK projects.
