Role Overview: Our client is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Side Leakage Technician, working on behalf of our client within the water industry. This role involves visiting domestic and commercial properties to identify and help resolve customer-side water leaks. Previous customer-side leakage experience is not required, as full training will be provided. However, candidates must be comfortable working in a customer-facing environment and representing both our business and our client professionally at all times.
Responsibilities
- Attend customer properties on behalf of our client to investigate potential customer-side water leaks
- Carry out basic inspections, leak detection activities, and water usage checks
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers to explain findings and next steps
- Provide advice to customers on leak repairs, water efficiency, and preventing future leaks
- Accurately record job details, findings, and outcomes using handheld devices or paperwork
- Liaise with our client and internal teams as required
- Work in line with health & safety procedures and company standards
- Deliver excellent customer service while working independently in the field
Essential Requirements
- Previous customer-facing experience (e.g. utilities, field services, retail, hospitality, housing, or similar)
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn new skills and complete full training
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily workload
- Basic IT skills (e.g. use of a smartphone or tablet)
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
Desirable (But Not Essential)
- Experience in a field-based role
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, water systems, or utilities
- Experience working in occupied domestic properties
