- Patient Population: Acute care, post-surgical, swing bed, orthopedic, neurological, and geriatric patients
- Start Date: ASAP
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients in the acute care and swing bed settings
- Develop individualized treatment plans focused on mobility, balance, strength, and safe discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, OT, SLP, and case management teams
- Assist patients recovering from surgery, stroke, injury, cardiac events, and medical illnesses
- Complete EMR documentation and maintain productivity standards
- Educate patients and families on exercises, mobility safety, and discharge recommendations
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Active Nebraska PT license or ability to obtain one
- Acute care or hospital experience preferred
- Comfortable working independently in a rural healthcare environment
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
