To provide a market-leading claims advocacy service with responsibility for ensuring the effective management and settlement of high-profile, complex claims. A Claims Advocate is a strategic partner, focused on driving client success and business growth. They leverage expert communication, persuasive argumentation, and insurance policy analysis to present compelling cases for clients. By anticipating potential challenges and addressing stakeholder concerns, they ensure optimal outcomes throughout the claim’s lifecycle.
What You Will Do
- Pro-active management and control of high-profile, complex claims.
- Identify coverage issues and problems early in the life cycle of the claim and work with clients and insurers to resolve these problems to the satisfaction of the client.
- Produce claims information and present to insurers or clients, either in written or networked format; and deal with any resultant instructions, queries and enquiries.
- Monitor insurers’ agreement and payment of funds and ensure that payment is made to the appropriate beneficiary.
- Report any claims difficulties immediately to management.
- Ensure relevant insurer instructions are notified to client/expert and vice versa.
- Build meaningful relationships with clients, experts and insurers by dealing with them in a prompt, friendly and professional manner always.
- Ensure effective liaison with placing colleagues, including, where required, the maintenance and provision of claims statistics for renewal or similar purposes.
- Ensure effective liaison with accounting colleagues regarding collection/payment of funds, any queries, and the subsequent clearance of accounting entries.
- Keep up to date with market and system changes.
- Monitor workload and report to management as appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience
- Undergraduate degree in business, law, economics, or engineering preferred but not required.
- At least DIP CII, or ideally ACII qualified.
- At least 5 years’ experience with a broker, insurer, lawyer, or loss adjuster handling claims.
