The Portfolio Solutions division specialises in Binder, MGA and Proportional Treaty business, delivering a comprehensive service model that extends beyond placement to include contract administration, bordereaux management, claims oversight, cash settlement coordination, regulatory support and performance reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full account lifecycle, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and contribute directly to the success of both our clients and the wider Portfolio Solutions platform.

Role Purpose

The Account Manager is the primary day-to-day client contact for a portfolio of Binder, MGA and Proportional Treaty accounts. The role acts as the central coordination point between clients, Account Executives and operational teams, ensuring service commitments are delivered, risks are managed and client expectations are exceeded.

The Account Manager is responsible for maintaining oversight of account activity throughout the lifecycle, supporting contractual administration, monitoring performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs, and ensuring effective collaboration across Processing, Claims and IBA functions. The role combines technical understanding, relationship management and operational oversight to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients.
  • Build strong relationships and oversee delivery of agreed service standards.
  • Manage client queries, service issues and review meetings.
  • Maintain oversight of new business, renewals, endorsements and contract changes.
  • Coordinate slips, binders, Evidence of Cover and related documentation.
  • Ensure contract certainty and documentation standards are maintained.
  • Monitor client KPIs, SLAs and operational performance.
  • Produce client reporting and portfolio management information.
  • Drive service improvements and corrective actions where required.
  • Coordinate activity between Account Executives, Processing, Claims and IBA.
  • Maintain oversight of onboarding, KYC and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and adherence to internal procedures.

Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • Experience within reinsurance, insurance or delegated authority operations.
  • Knowledge of Binder, MGA, Delegated Authority and Proportional Treaty business.
  • Experience managing client relationships and service delivery.
  • Understanding of reinsurance contract administration and binding authority documentation.
  • Ability to review and coordinate slips, binders, endorsements and contractual records.

Desirable

  • Experience within a reinsurance broker.
  • Knowledge of London Market processes.
  • Exposure to Claims, Processing and IBA functions.
  • Experience using OpenTwins or similar systems.
