Accommodation Manager with over 40 years of experience, Ardmore Language Schools is a leading junior English Language programme provider which takes English learning beyond the classroom. We pride ourselves in offering young international students a high standard and safe experience in the UK whilst they enjoy a culturally immersive and fun learning and activity programme.

MAIN TASKS

  • The Accommodation Manager (AM) is responsible for managing all residential elements of the centre.
  • You will allocate rooms at the centre, taking into consideration gender, customer requirements and availability.
  • You will work with the host centre to handle any customer complaints such as maintenance and cleanliness issues.
  • You will lead the team when conducting room checks prior to arrival and departure, ensuring any damage is accounted for and charged to the correct people.
  • Following company policy, you will ensure that all compliance is up to date including fire lists, fire drill log, night duty register & noticeboards.
  • In addition to your duties, you will assist the wider team with supervising free time, meal duties and night duty.

  • Where necessary share appropriate information with professionals and/or colleagues as may be required to keep everyone safe.
  • Promote a positive culture of information sharing which leads to effective safeguarding processes being followed as per the company's Safeguarding Policy.

KEY FACTS

  • Reports to Centre Director.
  • 4 week contract with a potential extension.
  • 42 hours per week. (Some weeks you may be required to work in excess of 48 hours. You will therefore be asked to 'opt out' of the 48-hour Working Time Directive).
  • Residential position. Evening and weekend work required.

Qualifications in care-related courses such as Social Care or Safeguarding are a bonus but not essential. Level 2 Safeguarding and First Aid Training will be provided before the centre opens.

You must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a valid DBS
  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be available to work for 42 hours per week for the whole of July, including evenings and weekends
  • Be able to live and work residentially on site. Full board and accommodation will be provided free of charge
  • Have a good understanding of the importance of Safeguarding

As part of our efforts to ensure fair compensation for all employees, we include rolled-up holiday pay in the advertised weekly salary for all part-year positions. What does this mean for you? The weekly amount listed in the job ad already includes your holiday pay, meaning you'll receive the full amount advertised. Holiday pay is 12.07%.
