Are you a student looking for a sandwich year placement starting in 2026 to take your studies beyond the classroom? Ardmore Construction is offering motivated students a 12-Month Work Placement designed to give you real-world experience and help you kick-start your career.

Our programme is perfect for students studying Quantity Surveying, Design Management, or Construction/Project Management who want to apply their learning on live projects across London, develop industry skills, and gain a competitive edge before returning to university to complete your degree.

What to Expect

You’ll spend a full year working as part of a project team, gaining insight into every stage of the construction process. This placement is all about learning by doing – whether that’s supporting procurement and cost management, helping coordinate design information, or assisting site management with day‑to‑day operations.

You’ll have the opportunity to work on one of Ardmore’s diverse, high‑profile projects across London – from residential towers and commercial spaces to hotels and heritage restorations – giving you exposure to the scale and complexity of major construction schemes.

Your Journey Includes

Your Goal

What You Need

You must be currently enrolled on a relevant degree programme with a sandwich/placement year option, such as:

  • Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management Pathway
  • BSc Quantity Surveying
  • BSc Commercial Management
  • BSc Quantity Surveying & Commercial Management
  • Construction / Project Management Pathway
  • BSc Construction Management
  • BSc Project Management for Construction
  • BSc Building / Construction / Civil Engineering Management or similar
  • Design Management Pathway
  • Design & Construction Management or similar

And:

  • Be available to start your journey for the 12-month placement Between June – September 2026.
  • Be passionate about construction, eager to gain practical experience, and a team player with strong communication skills.

The Application Process

Your journey starts with a short video call screening. Selected candidates will be invited to an assessment day with group activities and practical challenges. Successful applicants will secure their place on our 2026 Industrial Placement Programme.

Start Date

June – September 2026 – aligned with your university’s placement year schedule.

Closing Date

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and spaces are limited. Apply early to secure your place—once roles are filled, applications will close.
